The Batman Fans Need To Watch This Horror Movie While They Wait For The Sequel

When I look at “The Batman”, I never want it to end. Even three hours are not enough time in this world, and the spin-off “The Penguin” could only dip me so much. Even “The Penguin” prepared the field for “The Batman Part II” is soft to make because this suite remains in the years.

“Part II” of Matt Reeves has been delayed several times. The film should be opened on October 1, 2027, but the co-chief of DC Studios James Gunn told Entertainment Weekly that he had not seen the script of Reeves at the end of March 2025.

It is easy to feel cynical at the moment. In addition to these delays, Gunn reinvents the DC universe on the film and it is difficult to see Batman of Reeves and actor Robert Pattinson standing there. DC Studios even announced A different Batman Movie, “The Brave and the Bold”, “ With Bruce Wayne and his son Damian / Robin.

But I keep the hope that “the Batman II part” will not be canceled. If this is the case, at least the first film will also hold a superlative approach to Batman. “The Batman” is a rare superhero film that makes not Reek of the creative compromise and Reaffirms that Matt Reeves is a successful author. And while you are straightening “The Batman”, do not neglect the previous films of Reeves. He broke out as a director with the film of sequences found “Cloverfield”, then climbed even higher with “Dawn of Planet of the Apes” and “War for Planet of the Apes”.

In 2010, between these major shows, Reeves did something smaller: a remake of the Swedish horror film of 2008 “Let the right one in”, Retitled “Let me in”. The film by Reeves (taking place in the 1980s Los Alamos, New Mexico) concerns a young and lonely, Owen (Kodi Smiti-McPhee). Owen’s parents divorce and he is intimidated to school; The only friend he finds is the new neighbor, Abby (Chloë Grace Moretz), who soon turns into a puppy love. It looks like a cute and cuddly story, right? It would be, except that Abby is a vampire.

Although Batman is not a monster, he is sometimes compared to a vampire. He dresses in black, lives in a castle, prefers to go out at night, etc. (Dark Knight has even fought some vampires over the years, Dracula included.) By keeping this comparison, I would say that “Let Me in” is the film by Matt Reeves which is most similar to “The Batman”.
