Michael Cera Maybe one of Hollywood’s most modest stars, but even he couldn’t avoid a classic Tom Cruise moment during their very first meeting.
During an appearance on “The Louis Theroux Podcast”, the Alun “Arrested Development” revealed that he had been scolded by the star of “Mission: Impossible” while working together on a sketch for the MTV Movie Awards.
The project featured Tom Cruise featuring his scandalous character “Tropic Thunder”, the Grossman, in a series of pre-tapped segments.
Michael Cera says that Tom Cruise shouted on the set

“It was surreal to work with Tom Cruise,” said Cera. “It was fascinating. Tom runs the set. I was there for five minutes, but what I observed was that he was the first announcement on the set. He was such a leader.”
But things took an unexpected start when Michael Cera discussed with a writer during the shooting, something that Cruise did not take light.
“They were in the middle of a catch, and I spoke to the writer, just mumbling. Tom Cruise looks at me, I have never met him before, and he said:” Does Michael Cera speak during an F -ck socket? “” Remember Cera.
While the comment appeared as intense, Cera insists that Cruise was joking above all … in a way.

Cera, still the right sport, displayed it at a time of surreal Hollywood with a superstar known for its presence ordered on the set.
“It is surreal to meet Tom Cruise,” he added. “He was very friendly.”
The actor’s memory was part of a wider conversation on Scientology, although Cera quickly specified that he had no personal exposure to the belief system. “I am sure I will be entitled to some after this discussion,” he joked.
Theroux reassured him, saying he hadn’t said anything offensive. “Oh, I don’t take a fight,” laughs Cera.

In the same interview, Michael Cera also dropped his own bomb, he moved away from a potential role in the spin-off franchise “Harry Potter” “fantastic beasts” for fear that it makes him too famous.
“I don’t even know if I was offered, I think I just refused to get involved with her because I think it would probably be a six -year commitment or something,” said Cera. “But also, I made a conscientious choice to limit my exhibition a little, or just try to be a little more in control.”
He explained that the tone of the films particularly influenced his decision. “I was a great fear of doing things that I would be too famous,” he said, noting that children’s films were particularly risk.

Michael Cera says he is now open to join a major franchise

The films “Fantastic Beasts”, prequel to the saga “Harry Potter”, follow the expert in magic creature Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) while he entered a battle against the dark sorcerer Gellert Grindelwald.

“I think I exceeded this particular feeling,” he said. “But if a franchise arrived now and seemed interesting, I do not think about the reason that it is a franchise, I would be getting out of the office or anything.”

Fans react to the story of Tom Cruise

After Michael Cera’s account, fans went to social networks to share their thoughts and, without surprise, the opinions were mixed.
“I have heard only good things about Tom Cruise. Having some friends who met him and they said he was so kind and kind. Trushing he was in a cult,” wrote a user.
Another was not so charitable towards Cera, “Cera is at best a Triple Z-List actor without talent.”
Cruises of cruise and defenders compete after the history of Cera

Meanwhile, some defended Cruise’s reaction, noting that the moment may have adapted his character: “Shouting on Cera while playing the odious sounds Les Grossman on the point.”
However, others aimed at the polarizing reputation of Cruise, “probably the most hated person on the planet … And it is not even close,” wrote a commentator.
Another added: “Michael, you will find that the members of the worship are like that. It is the illusion they wear.”
Although the moment with Cruise was brief, he clearly left a lasting impression on the star of “Superbad”, as well as a very good Hollywood story to tell.
