Welcome, all, to our last meeting of the club “Mindhunter” “Obsessive Anonymous” from Netflix. It’s been a while since we gathered for the last time, desperately keeping this little spark of hope alive that the powers in place would come back to their minds and would end up doing the right thing. Another season of the best streaming shows and the most not canceled in the last decade. Season 3 of “Mindhunter” quickly joined the ranks of “GTA VI” and “The Winds of Winter” as pop-culture sensations that everyone has asked … but seem to be perpetually intended to never materialize.
Is there still a chance for more “mindhunter” in a few capacity, at least? I can already feel the internet collectively tighten her that you know what the very idea of being disappointed again, but this special smoke could be fire. Maybe. Almost six years after seeing the FBI agents for the last time Holden Ford (Jonathan Groff), Bill Tench (Holt McCallany) and Dr Wendy Carr (Anna Torv) who found serial killers and interviewing them to enter the minds of real sociopaths still in freedom, we finally received our most promising tube. In an interview Comics resourcesMcCallany did the press tricks for his next Netflix series “The Waterfront” (from the original writer “Scream” Kevin Williamson) and again addressed speculation that cannot completely disappear. According to the actor, however, there was a certain movement on a “mindhunter” continuation … but as a pair of films in its own right, rather than another season. As he explained:
“So look, you know, I had a meeting with David Fincher in his office a few months ago, and he told me that there was a chance that it could come back in three two -hour films, but I think it’s just a chance. I know there are writers that work, but you know, David must be satisfied with the scripts.”
Mindhunter could return to three Netflix films … but it is not guaranteed
I know, I know. Check once, ashamed to you. Cheer me twice, ashamed to me. Treat me three times … Well, it may be time to stop letting Lucy Yank this football under us at the last moment and to go home for the day. Nevertheless, we, members of the collective of truth “Mindhunter” (I expect all your unpaid contributions by the end of the month) to be clearly gourmets for punishment. However, despite each sign indicating that the series was made for good – Including his own main creative force, David Fincher himself – It’s a rumor that refuses to die.
Our latest theory of the Crackpot conspiracy is graceful of one of the great stars of the show, Holt McCallany, and his own conversations with Fincher. The actor continued confirming that potential “Mindhunter” films would be made for Netflix and that all the pieces are in place to succeed … Theoretically, at least. In the end, everything comes down to knowing whether the notoriously difficult fincher will apply you. As he explained:
“So I think that in terms of dates and logistics, everything could be developed, but it has to do with David who really has time and inclination and to be satisfied with the equipment. And it is a big question mark.”
You tell me. Finche seemed impatient over the years to see “Mindhunter” and bring it back to a satisfactory conclusion. Season 2 did not necessarily end on a cliffhanger, but it is clear that there is much more in the stories of Holden Ford, Bill Tench and Wendy Carr – not to mention the different cases of serial killer to face more recent decades. Like “Peaky Blinders”, “ Could a film (or three) really be the best way to continue this series and have it crossed the finish line? It seems to be a long time, but perhaps not quite as much as before. The two seasons of “Mindhunter” are currently broadcasting on Netflix.
