What happened to Florida State University?
The shooting started shortly before noon, the FSU published an emergency alert at 12:01 pm by warning an active shooter in the student union area. According to witnesses, around 15 to 20 shots sounded, which prompted panic when students run away or hid. Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare said he received six victims, with one in critical condition and five in serious condition. Tragically, a person died of his injuries, although their identity was not released. The University has announced the cancellation of all sports events at home until Friday and all sporting events outside until Sunday while the police start its investigation.

A suspect has been detained, according to the New York Post. However, the authorities have not yet released the identity or age of the individual. Online videos show that the cops load a bloody suspect in an ambulance. In the meantime, Cnn Reports that the cops have found a handgun on the suspect, a hunting rifle in the school student union and another hunting rifle in the suspect’s car.

Blake Leonard said CBS Miami of the incident, saying, “I have heard of 12 shots. In my head, I thought it was the construction at the beginning, until I look behind me and people run from union to my direction, then I heard 12 or 15 shots go, so I started to flee from there too.
