Tim (Matthias Schweighöfer) has a bad day. Her longtime girlfriend, Olivia (Ruby O. Fresh), breaks with him, and there is nothing that he can do to stop him. But while she wraps her bags and opens the front door to go out, something strange happens – she can’t leave. The entire building was surrounded by a mysterious black brick wall which prevents anyone from going out. How did it get there? And is that representing a threat, or is it to protect them from everything that is happening outside?
Brick is an original Netflix film which has an excellent science fiction premise. Tim, Olivia and the rest of the residents of the building must not only understand how to exceed the brick wall, but also why it is there in the first place. The wall is apparently indestructible and could be sensitive. Cube fans will get a kick from this film, and whoever likes a claustrophobic thriller with an end of the touch will appreciate it.
“V for Vendetta” (2005)

In the not so distant future, Great Britain is directed by a fascist regime which imprisoned anyone who judges “undesirable” or that resists his rule. Young Evey Hammond (Natalie Portman) falls into this last category, and she finally joins a masked vigilant known only under the name of “V” (Hugo Tissage) lower the totalitarian government by all possible means. This includes murdering key political characters and exploding power institutions such as Parliament, which is not going well with Evey. Can she trust someone she barely knows? Where is V as bad as the oppressors he seeks to destroy?
When he was released, V for Vendetta was criticized by some to disinfect Its explicitly anti-government and anti-capitalist source material. But like the Algo Graphic novel on which it is based, the film has aged well and plays today as a subversive action film as Cerveux as entertaining. Portman is great like radicalized heroine with a killer haircut, and the portrait of the film of a dystopian Britain is both imaginative and too realistic.

We are in 1968, and three friends in Pennsylvania are about to leave to fight during the Vietnam War. But Mike (Robert de Niro), Steve (John Savage) and Nick (Christopher Walken) are changed forever in their time in service, and when they come back, they all experience an SSPT which prevents them from resuming their usual life. Can the trio overcome their horrible memories of war and make peace with what they did and experienced?
With its poetic imagery, its exceptional performances and its flawless gaze on the consequences of war, there is a case to do The deer hunter is one of the best war films ever made. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences accepted, granting the film with five Oscars, whose best film, in 1979. It deserved them all, because the film is a haunting look to what extent America in the small town was changed forever by an international conflict which became out of control.
