The world renowned competitive eater officially settled his dispute with the famous of Nathan and confirmed that he will go on stage again during the Hot-Dogs consumption competition on July 4 of this year.

Chestnut has already been prohibited from the 2024 competition after concluding an agreement with impossible food, promoting their plant-based hot dogs, which Nathan considered a direct threat to their emblematic all-money product and claimed to be a violation of their contract.

The approval agreement has led to a major reaction, Nathan disconnected on the long -standing relationship a few weeks before the annual event.

But now Joey Chestnut is back and with flamboyant hotcakes.

“I am delighted to go back to the famous Hot-Dog restoration competition of Nathan July 4,” said Chestnut in a press release. “This event means the world for me. It is a darling tradition, a celebration of American culture and a large part of my life. ”

While Chestnut recognized his partnerships with companies in plant food space, he clearly indicated that there was never confusion in his mind in the place where his loyalty are. “To be clear: Nathan’s is the only hot dog company with which I have ever worked,” he said. “I respect that there were differences in interpretation, but I am grateful to have been able to find common ground.”

This “common ground” is in the form of a brand new agreement over three years with Nathan’s and the International Federation of Competitive Food (IFOCE), which organizes the annual event of July 4.

“I am delighted to be back on the stage of CONEY Island, to do what I live and to celebrate on July 4 with hot dogs in my hands! Stay hungry! ” Chestnut added.

He refused to reveal the financial details of the agreement but confirmed with USA TODAY SPORTS that he always collaborates with impossible foods.

George Shea, the founder of Ifoce and advertiser of the Nathan competition, confirmed that the chestnut is clear to compete.

“We are very happy to hand over Joey and we think it will be the best competition of all time,” Shea told USA Today Sports.

For the record, while Chestnut came out of the competition last year, Patrick Bertoletti won the male title by eating 58 hot dogs and breads in 10 minutes, falling 18 to less than 76 chestnut records.

“If they returned with similar terms of which we were talking about last year, I would certainly consider it,” he said at the time. “I will work with them to make sure there were no conflicts with other sponsors … But honestly, I don’t think they want to take this path. And yes, it’s a disappointment. I love this competition.”

The drama started last year The announced major league announcement, “We are devastated to learn that Joey Chestnut has chosen to represent a rival brand that sells plants based on plants rather than participating in the famous Hot-Dogs food competition on July 4 of Nathan.”
