During her questions and answers to the Tribeca Film Festival, Cooper said that she had spoken to another alleged victim. After having a frank conversation with the individual, Cooper realized that she had to use his platform and express himself.
“Hearing your story was horrible, and I knew at that time that if I don’t talk about it, it will continue to happen,” said Cooper. “I think of the number of women who have experienced this – not only on this campus, but on a larger scale. This does not only happen on university campuses for football. It’s everywhere. It’s systemic, and so I knew it was time to talk about it. ”

Cooper added: “I’m just happy to have understood that but I always feel anxious.”
At one point in the documentary, Cooper returns to the University of Boston and visits the football field on which she has played many games once. The cameras rolled as she started to cry and think about her university experience.
“I do not think that anyone could have prepared me for the lasting effects that come from this experience,” said Cooper. “When I look at that time in my life, I was afraid, hopeless. I had neither resources nor options. And at the minute I left this campus, I was determined to find a way where no one could silence me again. ”
