Taylor Swift under fire for “ I knew you were troubles ” Introduction
Twelve years ago, the singer “Anti-hero” released the clip of “I Know You Weld Trouble” with a long introduction. “I think … I think when it’s over, it comes back in flashes, you know,” she starts. “It’s like a souvenir kaleidoscope, but everything comes back. But he never does.”
“I think a part of me knew that the second I saw it happens. It is not really something he said, or all he did, it was the feeling that came with it, and the crazy thing is that I don’t know if I will never feel that way, but I don’t know if I should …” she admits.

Taylor Swift Monologue rejected as “nonsense emo myspace”

This week, a Reddit The position appeared, with a user sharing a screenshot of the spoken monologue. “So [sic] is the most cordial and the most false in [sic] I have heard saying, ”they wrote on screenshot.
Fans quickly torn the words, with a user, specifically emphasizing the sentence “How can the devil get you towards someone who smiles like an angel?” They call it “a few maximum mypace trash cans”, while other users agreed.
“Lol if she read the Bible, he says that the devil disguises himself as an angel of light,” said another user. “And it looks like Emo Myspace nonsense.”

Other users slam the “Word Salad” of Slam

While a user agreed that the monologue was “cheesy like F -K”, another user joked, “this is the type of word salad that you must read before finally arriving at the recipe at the bottom of the page”.
“It’s a salad of words,” said another user. “She tries to say something very deep, but there are a lot of thoughts with free flow, and there is nothing concrete in her answer.”
Another user admitted that they liked it when they heard it for the first time, admitting: “It’s cringing teeth now, but TBH I ate it when I was 12 years old.”

Taylor Swift’s music calls on a different audience

It is not surprising to hear that fans turn their backs on Taylor Swift and her words “cringing teeth”, since she always seemed to appeal to a young demography. Songs like “Fifteen” seduced high school students with his age who went through similar experiences to live their first love and subsequent sorrow.
Unfortunately, many of these same fans have since evolved. They now have careers, families and even children. The same words that they once found attractive are now, as this user has so eloquently said, “cringing teeth to read now”. It is like coming back through your old poetry of the college that you thought you were deep at the time, to realize that this was really not the case.
Are the old Swift fans simply too old for his new music?
It is also one of the biggest problems with “The Department of Tortured Poets”, which did not seem to receive the same positive attention as his past albums. Many fans have criticized the way she seems to repeat the same teenage love tropes in her songs without showing growth.
Although Taylor has aged and experienced more relationships, many fans are frustrated that the songs of the “tortured poets department” do not seem to reflect a kind of maturity. After all, the lyrics, “I have her baby / no, I am not / but you should see your face” of “but daddy I love him” seems a little immature of some 35 years old.

It is possible that the singer of “Love Story” identified her target audience, namely pre-adolescent girls, and is more interested in creating content for a new generation of fans than those who grew up with her. In this case, more power for her. After all, it’s his music. However, she should not be surprised if she loses fans who grew up with her in the process, while they are playing to explore new genres and a more mature sound.
Again, it’s Taylor Swift, and when it comes to facing any criticism, she is known to “shake”.
