After the public shocked “Rogue One” everywhere by killing every main character in the film in a very tragic way, there were reasons to believe his prequel series, “Andor” would follow suit. Of course, we knew that Cassian by Diego Luna was supposed to arrive at the end because he had still a few days left, but everyone had a death mark with the size of a moon (scraping this – a space station).

It does not help Tony Gilroy and his team made “and” one of the darkest programs on television by nature reflecting a large part of our reality, whether it be TV morning broadcasts and information programs acting as propaganda for oppressive regimesthe murder of dissidents for stupid reasons, or Punch of an episode which was the massacre of Ghorman. It is easy to look at “Andor” and think that the show is simply too dark and depressing, and without our knowledge of “Rogue One” and the original trilogy, you would be forgiven to have doubts that the rebellion does something.
Fortunately, Gilroy and his team know better than making a dark and depressing show. Instead, season 2 of “Andor” had as many victories for the rebels that she had heartbreaking moments of the Empire being the absolute worst. And sometimes these ups and stockings came one after the other: just after the massacre of Ghorman, we had My Mothma gives a killer speech to the Senate and effectively announce the formation of the rebel alliance.

In the end, even if some characters tragically lost their lives along the way, others have reached the final credits – everyone thanks Tony Gilroy for giving our boy B2emo a happy ending. In addition, each villain of “Andor” obtained the horrible and fair end that they deserved.
What is happening, presents itself in and or
First of all, let’s talk about the villain who is not from “Andor”, director Orson Krennic (Ben Mendelsohn). Krennic is a fairly large part of the last season of “Andor”, Help planning the Ghorman massacre in order to acquire certain resources that will help his death star project. Of course, Krennic does not die in “Andor”, but fortunately, we know that he ends up meeting a horribly horrible end by being erased on Scarif by his own death machine.

As for the bad guys from “Andor”, we start with Doctor Gorst (Joshua James), The most evil villain in “Star Wars” It was not involved in the Ghorman massacre. The good doctor meets his end to the hands of Bix, who breathes him for directly while he is tortured with his own sadistic torture machine – the one that uses the sounds of the screaming babies.
Ironic death by their own work is a recurring theme in “Andor”. Take Syril Karn (Kyle Soller), a man who worked tirelessly to help the Empire and finally set up the Ghorman massacre, nourishing Intel on the Ghorman front to the point where the Empire could accuse them of being a legitimate threat, to fuel a violent uprising and to kill them all. At the end, Syril was shot in his head after realizing that he helped commit an atrocityJust after learning that the man he had pursued for years did not even know who he was.

Then, he shared it (Anton less), a man who had helped to execute and illegally imprison countless people over the years in his role as leader of the central office of the ISB on Coruscant. Except that the ISB does not suffer from errors, and after Partagaz did not prevent the flight of information on the death star, it was to execute. Like a good Nazi space, Partagaz did not wait and decided to shoot in the head with a blaster in his office like a little coward.
Whether they know it or not, the rebels win at the end of Andor
And finally, the final of the series of “Andor” gave us a last glance at our favorite fascist fanatic, Dedra Meero (Denise Gough). Unsurprisingly, the Empire does not turn with kindness to order operations without authorization which led to the death of a man sought after for interrogation, as well as his authorization code used to steal information on the death star. So what becomes of Dedra? She ends up condemning to a prison that resembles that that Cassian was held on Narkina 5, with electrified soils, bland food and absolutely horrible living conditions. Of course, she is the only nasty to survive, but there again, if she lives long enough, she will be forced to see the fall of her beloved empire from the inside of her prison-or perhaps worse, not even yet hear On the destruction of the Death Star, the fall of the Palpatine and finally the Empire.

“Andor” does not have to represent the rebels winning a great victory against the Empire. According to the final scene, the biggest victory is that Cassian wins the confidence of rebel leaders by pursuing the information that Luthen has won on the death star. And yet, in the broader context, the final of “Andor” is an absolute victory for the rebellion. The imperial villains are dead or about to be destroyed. The rebel alliance is fully formed and soon ready to meet the outdoor Empire. And only a few days after the credits on this episode, a tatooine farmer will bring a major blow to the alleged invulnerability of the Empire. Cassian and the other characters may not know it, but their lives burned for a sunrise than millions through the galaxy could see.
