Whether x-wings of Fantastic Style of George Lucas who are buzzing like a craft of the Second World War, or the more measured approach of shows like Battlestar GalacticaScience-fiction space battles are drunk towards fantasy than reality.
The exception is The extentA science fiction series 2015 entirely based on rigorous dedication to realism.
Ships The extent Operate according to technology that may be possible in the future close to humanity.
This means no magic energy shields, hyperspace discs or super blasters.
Send The extent Fight in the space of space using weapons based on ammunition such as missiles and rails.

The extentCrafts have no veneer of fantastic gravity or canceling science technobabble. They deal with true Newtonian physics and how forces G have an impact on moving objects with fragile human bodies inside them.
The approach of the program creates complex space commitments involving attack salvan and countermeasures, such as the opposite jockey forces for the position in the darkness of space, fighting against the limits of physics to obtain victory.
And the result of this approach is a series of space battles unlike something else, you’ve never seen on the screen.
So make sure your sofa is juice and prepare to get serious GS.
Season 1 Episode 4, “CQB”

It was episode four of The extentThe initial season that gave us our first taste for the potential of the show.
The great battle of the episode takes place from the point of view of the Donator, the greatest and the most nasty Humanity is capable of producing.
A DONNER class is equipped by hundreds and covered with weapons.
It is so large that he carries other smaller Corvette class warships inside.
This is how Captain James Holden and his friends find themselves aboard the Rocinante. The now emblematic ship was originally a corvette attached inside the Donator and appointed the Tachi.
The Donnager believed that superiority was quickly demonstrated that the ship faces a surprise attack by six stealthy ships.
Initially confused with a single ship, the attackers separated into several crafts, launching a coordinated torpedo dam.
Despite the formidable giving weapons, including many points for defense of points and rails, the advanced technology of stealthy ships allows them to escape countermeasures and transmit critical damage, deactivate the donnator reactor and compromise its structural integrity.
Holden and its crew flee the ship in a Martian corvette which they find in the bay of launching the Donnager, narrowly escaping from the destruction of the Donnager.
Season 5 Episode 10, “Nemesis Games”

In the episode of season 5 “Nemesis Games”, the Rocinante crew faces a fleet of 5 ships and victories.
The Rocinante, still recovering from previous commitments and low ammunition, is continued by a free navy squadron comprising five – two Martian ships and three Belter ships.
Before the Captain of Rocinante, Holden could put an action plan, all the hell stands out in the fleet of the free navy.
The former drummer of Holden Ally Kamina was put into service against his wishes, on the ship of the free navy recovered Tynan. She mutinates and takes control.
The drummer pulls a salve of missiles at the destroyer Koto, distracting him long enough for the rockinant to enter an effective range for the rail of the ship. Koto is disabled by the upper weapon of ROCI.
The drummer orders its loyalist ships to retire. One, the Mowteng, leaves the battle.
The heavy frigate Serrio Mal is left in combat to itself, but the smallest Salves de Missile de Roci cannot unravel the defenses of the most powerful ship.
The other ship led by drummers is an armed rescue ship called Dewalt, and he joins the fight on the side of the rockinant by pulling all his missiles both in a massive salvo directed against the badly ultra-said Serrio.
This distracts the enemy ship, long enough for the rockinant to close the distance and destroy his reactor with Railgun explosions
Each detail of this battle is perfectly thought out, until the little engine stroke that the ship uses to counter the strength of its rail gun shot.
No show, but the extent would never have had so many problems to do everything correctly.
Season 2 Episode 2, “Doors and Corners”

Our heroes identify the Thoth station as the clandestine protogen installation responsible for horrible protomolecule experiences, the same horrors that launched the intrigue of the show.
To approach not detected, the rockinant hides behind the OPA Guy Molinari cargo, exploiting his radar signature. As they near the station, the rockinant stands out, deriving in silence to maintain the element of surprise.
The defense of the Thoth station includes the Osiris, a furtive frigate of AMUN-RA class and an anti-en-Atour cannon. During the detection of the approximated ships, the Osiris launched torpedoes in Guy Molinari.
The rockinant intercepts, deploying his PDC to neutralize the threat. A fierce dog fight follows, during which the rockinant undergoes damage to a propellant on the port side, forcing him to look for a blanket behind the station of the station.
Simultaneously, two violation pods carrying Opa Marines and Detective Miller are launched to Thoth station.
Amos Burton, aboard the Rocinante, repairs the damaged propeller, allowing the ship to maneuver and destroy the cannon of the station, by collapsing a path so that the remaining pod, allowing Miller and his teams to achieve their goal.
Season 6 Episode 3 “Immolation”

The best battle of The extent is one of its smallest, and also its shortest.
But the detail involved and the tactical skill exposed are among the best never captured on the screen.
Marco Inaos, leading to a chances of free marine flotilla through the rockinant and gives the pursuit.
InaOS Commander the Pella, a light cruiser that outlets the smallest Roci. He also has two other ships with him.
ROCI can only be a corvette, but it is not a normal corvette. It rises a rail gun, a weapon generally considered too large for a ship of its size to be transported.
InioS attacks the rockinant with missiles, and the Roci pushed them back with the fire of his PDCs.
The railway gun is forward forward and can only be pulled before, but the ROCI is on the run, which puts Marcos and its fleet behind them
Captain and rocinante pilot James Holden, swirls his ship in a wild 180, pulling a single railgun from outside the normal effective beach of the weapon. He then immediately executed 180 others to put the ROCI on the right track.
Since the rail gun is taken from the outside of its effective range, called in the “Hammerlock” extent, InaOS ships should have enough time to dodge the rail slug, but they are surprised.
The tower of the rail pistol connects and paralyzes one of the free navy ships. Another remains using help, leaving only the pella always in pursuit.
The two ships exchange torpedoes, but neither can cross the fire of the other’s PDC.
PDC means point defense cannon, and that’s exactly what they are.
They are never used as offensive weapons, considered too slow for offensive use in the vast distances of space.
It was then that the Rocinante shooter, Bobby Draper, notices a defect in Pella piloting.
When they escape their missile attacks, the Pella dodges always at the port.
This means that they can predict where the Pella is located when they shoot on it.
Bobbie replaces automated orders on the PDCs of ROCI in order to dismiss them in an empty space, aimed at where it predicts that Pella Esquivera.
She pulls a salvo from missiles, and the Pella dodges at the port, directly in the Rocinante PDC towers.
The fire pdc of the ROCI tears the pella, deactivating the ship.
