Detective Matt Scudder (Liam Neeson) is sober and eager to stay in difficulty. But when another AA member, Peter Kristo (Boyd Holbrook), asks him to find her brother’s missing woman, Matt cannot resist the urge to help. He quickly regrets his altruistic nature, while he is pulled in a plot involving drug trafficking, blackmail and murder that could harm Matt and all those he loves. Will Matt walk among the tombstones, or will he end up at a bedtime himself?
At first glance, A walk among the tombstones looks like your typical Liam Neeson action film, but the film is darker and reflective than Taken Or Non -stop. This is due to the writer / director, Scott Frank, who gives the film the same intelligence and the same complexity he brought to his previous works, as The belvedere And Out of sight with George Clooney. A walk among the tombstones is a great action film with real gravitas – people are killed and you feel the total weight of their bloody death.
