King firmly criticized how Belichick allowed his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, apparently taking control of the interview.
He also urged the legendary coach to take care of his life and the story surrounding the situation.

The former NFL analyst criticized the coach’s torn outfit for the interview

Belichick had appeared in the CBS show to promote his next volume, “the art of winning: the lessons of my life in football”, a story of many of his experiences of coach in the NFL.

In the midst of the fallout from the interview, Belichick defended the actions of his girlfriend and accused the media of having distant the conversation from the book.
“Before this interview, I clearly communicated with my publicist in Simon & Schuster that any promotional interview in which I participated would agree to focus only on the content of the book,” read the first half of the declaration, compared to CBS News.

CBS denied Belichick’s claims on the interview

In response to the statements of Belichick, a spokesperson for CBS shared that there had never been such an agreement with the legendary coach before the interview.
“When we agreed to speak with Mr. Belichick, it was for a big interview,” said the representative, according to the New York Post. “There was no prerequisite or limitation to this conversation.
They also claimed to have had a conversation with the publisher of Belichick before the interview and said that no restriction of this type had been communicated.
“This was confirmed several times with its publisher before the interview took place and after its end,” added the spokesperson.

Bill Belichick’s bosses are worried about the coach after his CBS interview

Since the interview has become viral, Belichick was struck by a dam of severe criticism. But beyond negative reactions, it seems that the veteran coach can also face professional consequences.
