Marvel’s Thunderbolts Features A Captain America Easter Egg You Probably Missed

“Thunderbolts *” is undoubtedly the wonderful wonderful surprise in years, A mature film with a hit emotional punch It is also a hilarious team film that we have not seen since the films “Guardians of the Galaxy”.

It is also the rare Marvel film to devote a lot to the connection of different parts of the Marvel Cinematic Universe Ensemble. Which was once the pride and joy of Marvel – having an interconnected universe – has become less a characteristic and more a bug in the past two years. As we started getting Marvel TV shows, the films did everything possible to avoid mentioning them so as not to alienate the public who does not watch Disney +, to the point where Emissions like “Secret Invasion” feel completely useless, especially since nothing consequences can happen.

And yet, “Thunderbolts *” is a question of characters from different Marvel films – as popular as “Captain America: The Winter Soldier”, and as submarines as “Black Widow” – meeting to form a team. There are also references to the biggest MCU, including television shows, as reminds us of time The new Captain America used his shield to murder a guy in “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier”.

The film also has a flashing reference at a nod to a more recent Marvel film, the one that (based on its box office performance) will probably not get another mention in the future. It is true, we obtain heads to “Captain America: Brave New World”, both his red shell of a president and also a brief blow of the damage caused by the unleashed president of Harrison Ford Thaddeus Ross.

The Washington monument cannot have enough

In the first act of the film, there is a brief Washington DC shooting establishment in the forecast of the hearing of the Congress of the Valentina of Fontaine de Julia Louis-Dreyfus. The plan includes some frames showing the Washington monument in the background being in repair for heavy damage. This damage, of course, occurred during the fight between Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) and the Red Hulk, the latter jumping on the monument and going down by tearing it.

In “Thunderbolts *”, we see the monument repaired. It makes sense, and it is a normal and supposed reaction to an important destroyed American monument. And yet it raises a few questions. First of all, why do we never see the White House in the film, if only for a moment to see how it was destroyed by Red Hulk? More importantly, why is the Washington monument repaired again? We have seen the same monument almost destroyed by Peter Parker accidentally bringing an unstable energy nucleus inside the monument. Of course, that has been almost a decade since the time of this film in the universe, but how often the taxpayers are intended to pay to repair a monument before the government decides that it is enough and simply leaves it?
