Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) has a special gift. During the five seasons, “Prison Break” was in the air, he showed that there was not a single penitentiary on the planet in which he could not penetrate or get out. Admittedly, he did not visit each prison in the world, but the spectacle establishes that he knows how to get out of a sticky situation, so why should we believe that there are cells that could keep him locked up? For viewers, Michael’s getaways provided advanced entertainment, even when the series has started to become ridiculous and lack steam.

Here again, prison was not the only problem with which Michael had to face the “prison break”. At one point, he suffers from a brain tumor that puts his life in danger, forcing him to obtain experimental treatment. However, his problems are still intensifying when he enters business with bad people and gets caught in an explosion. In this spirit, does Michael come out of the lively “prison break”? Or does it come out in a flambé of glory?

Everyone thinks that Michael bites the dust after the explosion, but season 5 of “prison break” proves the opposite. In this episode, we discover that he was approached to work for a CIA agent in exchange for his freedom and Sara, but there was a problem: he had to simulate his own death and become a ghost. His new concert is also quite problematic, because the agent is a thug who brings Michael out of powerful nasty in prison – the genre that actually deserves to be stuck behind bars.

There is a light at the end of the tunnel for Michael and his family, because he does not remain disappeared forever. In addition, he is finally gathered with his loved ones, but calling for his journey to ever afterwards is the euphemism of the century.

Michael Scofield receives a happy ending on the “prison break”. In short, he escapes from a Yemeni prison after the aforementioned Snape Cia agent framed him for a murder he did not do and who marries Sara, who always believes that Michael is dead. After erasing his name, however, he finally found Sara to live a life of peace, and the pair rises in the proverbial sunset.

Wentworth Miller, meanwhile, has kept a low profile since the end of the show. In addition to appearing in certain episodes of “Legends of Tomorrow”, “Batwoman” and “Madame Secretary”, he did not show much interest in acting – too bad, really, because “Prison Break” was a successful series which gave him a lot of momentum.

At the same time, this could be selective with the type of roles he accepts in the future, because he is no longer interested in playing characters like his protagonist “Prison Break”. As such, fans of the criminal drama should not be looking forward to seeing him take Michael back on the whole line.

If this happens (and it seems likely, because Hulu develops a restart), fans should not expect to see the character of Wentworth Miller enter and get out of the pen. In an Instagram publication now deleted (via Filtered), Miller – who came out gay in 2013 – revealed that he was no longer interested in playing hetero characters, so taking up Michael is out of the question. In his own words:

“I came out. [‘Prison Break’]. Officially. No static on social networks (although this has focused the problem). I just don’t want to play straight characters. Their stories were told (and told). I understand that it is disappointing. I’m sorry. If you are hot and you disturbed, you fell in love with a hetero fictional man played by a real gay … It’s your work. “”

Miller is not the only member of Casting of origin “prison break” This will not come back for the planned restart. The show should present a whole new ensemble, actors like Emily Browning and Drake Rodger having already been sunk. The franchise evolves in a different direction, but will one of the new characters deceive death in the same way as Michael did at the time? Only time will tell us.
